With packing. Actually I have lots and lots of issues, but the ones that are causing me problems right here, right now are with packing. I mean I don't need to take much - it's a four hour-is car ride to Moncton, I'm only spending one night there, and the majority of my time in the city will be out on Magnetic Hill for the concert. So. I have picked out:

This got ... really long ... )

So today The Sam Robert's Band released Collider. I AM EXCITED. I love Sam Roberts music, so I'm really excited for this album because I really like the two songs I've heard from it so far. ("I Feel You" and "Partition Blues"). I have it DL'ed to my iPod and plan to listen tonight to it, as I make the trek to Toronto :D.

You can watch a video montage from Hockey Night In Canda (April 26th, 2011, Boston vs. Montréal - Game #6] which features the song Partition Blues here.

So that covers the music section of this post ... now TV.

Tickets for U2 Purchased!

I told the person I'm going with; "We are in green, we can stand RIGHT THERE IN CIRCLE OF THE STAGE IF WE GET THERE EARLY ENOUGH!" and they were all; "Remember how you freak out in crowds?" and I was all "whatevers, we can sit on the hill, and party up there."

Spent part of today stalking my holds page at the library, to see if any more of my books had come in. One of the books (Fledgling by Octavia E Butler) that I'm going to read for an online book club ( Calico Reaction) has come in, so that's cool. Going to try and get a head start on that one, and on Elfland which I'm reading for The Women of Fantasy book club.

I also have been stalking the return of my Kobo e-reader to the Kobo people via Puralator. It broke (WOE) but they have taken it back, and are going to send me a new one (YAY) but they said it would be 10 business days from when they got the broken one back. So. I stalk via Puralator, and hope it gets delivered to them soon, so the process of me getting a new one can be started.

And then there was MUSIC )

This song has been stuck in my head for two days . . . good thing I like it.

seriousmoonlight: (the girls)
I love this music video. Like a lot. Mind you I think that John Malkovich's character dodged a bullet there, and should have walked (nay -- ran!) away from possibly going crazy lady. But ya know, I think I'd take crazy!Annie Lennox over generic girl his character was with. Anyways, I love this video. Lots. And lots and and lots.

Gosh Annie Lennox is awesome in this.

So take me from the wreckage, Save me from the blast, Lift me up and take me back. )

Well now, everything dies, baby, that's a fact
But maybe everything that dies someday comes back

I like to think Bruce Springsteen is singing about zombies here.

[I know he's not.]

disclaimer: I <3 The Boss. A lot. I had a falling out with his music after a fling in high school -- this was when I entered my angry, all music must be ANGRY phase, but I am now back in love with his music. I love the song Atlantic City, but it does make me think of zombies. I can’t help it. Way my brain is wired.
